Tenerife 20110219-25

Visited Tenerife for the first time, with my daughter Nina and her friend Sara. We flew scheduled with SAS from Copenhagen to Barcelona. Delayed nearly for 40 minutes in Copenhagen we landed in Barcelona 10 am. We were in a hurry because our plane left at 11 am from Barcelona. It was a beautiful approach over Lanzarote and Fuerteventura before we landed on Tenerife North 2 pm. A pre-booked rental car from CICAR (Citroen Zafira 1.9) was picked up at the airport.

The prize was 150 € plus a deposit of 500 €. During the whole trip I used navigation in my mobile mounted in the front window. In total I drove 1173 km. We stayed at the four star hotel Be Live Playa La Arena in Puerto de Santiago.I had very good help preparing the trip from my friend Rubén Barone Tosco, who lives in Santa Cruz. I met Rubén on my recent trip to Cape Verde, where he joined as an expert guide. He offered one whole day (20th) for guiding in the northern parts of the island. He also helped with identification of the plants I documented.

During the days, when I was out birding and photographing, the girls were swimming and sunbathing at our hotel. In the evenings we had dinner together.
